Swanner Field at Geo Surfaces Park

Swanner Field at Geo Surfaces Park is home for the Colonel softball team.

Formerly known as the Colonel Softball Complex, the field received major renovations prior to the 2018 season. The facelift included an all-new Geo Surfaces synthetic turf infield, brand new lights, dugouts, and bleachers, as well as other aesthetic improvements around the park. In recognition of a generous gift by Neal Swanner and the Norman Swanner Foundation that funded the renovations, the playing surface was named Swanner Field.

Over the last three seasons, the Colonels have compiled an impressive 49-6 record in Thibodaux on their home field. In 2018, Nicholls won 18 of 20 games played at Swanner Field en route to winning its first Southland Conference regular season championship since 1996.
